Vikram-1 launch vehicle:
ü Named after Vikram Sarabhai, father of India’s space program. ü Built by Hyderabad-based startup Skyroot Aerospace. ü Multi-stage launch vehicle with capacity for around 300 kg payloads in low-earth orbit. ü All-carbon-fibre-bodied rocket designed to place multiple satellites into orbit. ü Solid-fuelled and uses simpler technologies for minimal infrastructure requirements. |
